House Roll Call 357

119th Congress · Session 1 · December 18, 2025

A last attempt to send the bill back to committee

The minority party's final chance to change or stall a bill just before the vote on passage. It almost always fails; when it succeeds, the bill does not get its final vote that day.

What was being voted on

119-HR-1366 — Mining Regulatory Clarity Act

This bill provides for the location of multiple hardrock mining mill sites. It defines mill sites as public land necessary for waste rock disposal or other operations related to mineral development. Under this act, proprietors can include as many mill site claims as reasonably necessary within an approved plan of operations. Each individual mill site location is limited to a maximum of 5 acres and cannot be patented. Additionally, the act establishes the Abandoned Hardrock Mine Fund in the U.S. Treasury.
