What was being voted on

119-HR-3628 — State Planning for Reliability and Affordability Act

This bill amends the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978. It requires State regulated electric utilities that use integrated resource planning to include measures that ensure the reliable availability of electric energy over a 10-year period. To meet this, utilities must use reliable generation facilities that can operate continuously for at least 30 days with adequate fuel on-site or via contract. These facilities must also function during emergency and severe weather conditions and provide essential services like frequency and voltage support.
