House Roll Call 100

119th Congress · Session 2 · March 25, 2026

A last attempt to send the bill back to committee

The minority party's final chance to change or stall a bill just before the vote on passage. It almost always fails; when it succeeds, the bill does not get its final vote that day.

What was being voted on

119-HR-5103 — Make the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful Act of 2025

This bill creates a program and a commission to improve the District of Columbia. The Secretary of the Interior will lead a program to clean public spaces, remove graffiti, and restore damaged monuments. A new Commission will recommend actions to increase law enforcement presence, enforce federal immigration laws, and reduce crime. The Commission also aims to improve the processing of concealed carry licenses and the accreditation of the forensic crime laboratory. Both the program and the Commission are set to end on January 2, 2029.
