What this bill would do

The Firearm Industry Non-Discrimination Act, or FIND Act, seeks to amend title 41 of the United States Code. It aims to prohibit the Federal Government from entering into contracts with any entity that discriminates against the firearm and ammunition industry. Under this bill, executive agency heads must include clauses in procurement contracts requiring prime contractors to certify they have no discriminatory policies against firearm entities or trade associations. The bill also regulates how prime contractors handle subcontracts to prevent discrimination through lower-tier entities. Failure to comply could result in contract termination or debarment proceedings. This law would apply to contracts awarded on or after the date of enactment, though it excludes sole-source contracts.
