Senate Roll Call 170

119th Congress · Session 1 · April 4, 2025

A vote on a proposed change to the bill

A vote on one change, not on the bill. A bill can collect dozens of these, and losing one does not stop it.

What was being voted on

119-SAMDT-2035 — To establish a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting Medicare and Medicaid.

What the Amendment Does Mr. Sullivan, along with Ms. Collins, proposed amendment SA 2035 to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund. Common sense tells us that keeping track of our money and not adding to the national debt is important when looking out for the people. The amendment allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to change allocations, aggregates, and other levels in the resolution. It allows adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation related to protecting the Medicaid program.

The Senate recorded this as
On the Amendment S.Amdt. 2035 to S.Amdt. 1717 to H.Con.Res. 14 (No short title on file)
To establish a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting Medicare and Medicaid.
