Senate Roll Call 152

119th Congress · Session 2 · June 5, 2026

A vote to set aside an objection that the measure breaks a budget rule

A senator objected that the measure spends or cuts more than the budget allows. Sixty votes set that objection aside; fewer, and the measure is stopped by the objection without a vote on what it would do.

What was being voted on

119-SAMDT-5806 — To repurpose funds previously appropriated for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the timely processing of DACA applications and related employment authorization documents and to prohibit the use of funds to arrest, detain, deport, or remove DACA recipients.

SA 5806 is an amendment proposed by Mr. Durbin and several other senators to be added to amendment SA 5453 for bill S. 2. The amendment aims to change the following: It increases a specific funding amount to $2,510,000,000, which remains available until September 30, 2029. It requires $10,000,000 of those funds to be used for processing renewal applications for employment authorization documents and deferred action under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, as long as that regulation is in effect.

The Senate recorded this as
