What this bill would do
This bill, titled the "No American Land for Communist China Act," aims to restrict certain real estate purchases. It directs the President to prohibit the purchase of real estate located next to covered Federal lands in the United States. These prohibitions apply to any agent of the Government of the People's Republic of China. It also targets businesses where the Government of the People's Republic of China owns at least 25 percent of the equity interests. Covered Federal lands include land under the jurisdiction of the Secretaries of the Interior, Defense, Agriculture (specifically Forest Service land), and Energy, as well as Indian country.
