What this bill would do
The Dental and Optometric Care Access Act of 2025 aims to improve health care coverage under vision and dental plans. It proposes amendments to title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act. The bill regulates how doctors of optometry and dentistry can charge enrollees for services not covered by their plans. It also sets rules for extending agreements for limited scope plans and limits restrictions on laboratory choices. Additionally, it establishes a notification process for the Secretary to engage with States regarding enforcement.
