The FISH Act of 2025 aims to amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973. This bill transfers specific functions regarding certain fish species from the Secretary of Commerce and the National Marine Fisheries Service to the Secretary of the Interior. The species involved include anadromous species, which spawn in fresh or estuarine waters and migrate to the ocean, and catadromous species, which spawn in ocean waters and migrate to fresh or estuarine waters.
