What this bill would do
The Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act aims to amend the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area Act. It adjusts the boundary of the Conservation Area by updating the official map and increasing the total acreage. The bill also grants the Southern Nevada Water Authority rights-of-way for water pipeline infrastructure, powerlines, facilities, and access roads. These rights-of-way are intended for geotechnical investigations and the construction and operation of water transmission facilities. Additionally, the Act addresses the preservation of existing transmission and utility corridors.
