What this bill would do
This bill, titled the "Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Streamline the Code of Federal Regulations Act of 2025," seeks to use artificial intelligence to review federal regulations. The Director of the Office of Management and Budget will implement an annual process to identify redundant or outdated regulations using an AI system. Once identified, these regulations are sent to the responsible agency for a final determination. If a regulation is found to be redundant or outdated, the agency must either rescind it or amend it to bring it up to date. The bill also amends existing law to allow for these expedited actions.
