What this bill would do
This bill is called the VA Home Loan Awareness Act of 2025. It requires a specific disclaimer to be added to the Uniform Residential Loan Application. This disclaimer must be placed below the military service question. The added text will let people know they might qualify for a VA Home Loan and should consult their lender. The Director must make this happen within six months of the bill's enactment. Finally, the Comptroller General must study whether lenders actually include this disclaimer and report back to Congress.
