What this bill would do
This bill aims to stop the sale and licensing of specific defense articles to the United Arab Emirates. The restriction begins on the date the Act is enacted. Under this law, the President is prohibited from selling or issuing export licenses for certain defense items to the United Arab Emirates or its agencies. This prohibition remains in place until the President certifies that the United Arab Emirates is not providing materiel support to the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan. This certification must be provided to the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate and the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House.
