What this bill would do
The Uterine Fibroid Intervention and Gynecological Health Treatment Act of 2025 authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to conduct and support research for the early detection of and intervention for uterine fibroids. The Secretary will create evidence-based strategies for detection in health care settings. The bill allows for grants to be awarded to States for public awareness campaigns and programs to increase detection and intervention. These grants can fund screening procedures, patient navigation services, and improved access to health care settings. Additionally, grants may fund research on uterine fibroid surgical pain management disparities and other intrauterine conditions. The Secretary must provide reports to Congress and the public every two years on these activities.
