What this bill would do

H.R. 4876, known as the "Reproductive Freedom for Veterans Act," seeks to amend title 38 of the United States Code. The bill would require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide abortion care, counseling, and related services and medication. These services would be available to "covered individuals" who receive health care from the Secretary. This includes covered veterans and individuals eligible for benefits under section 1781(a) of title 38.
