What this bill would do

The Raise the Age Act of 2025 seeks to amend title 18 of the United States Code. It prohibits Federal firearms licensees from selling or delivering certain semiautomatic centerfire rifles or shotguns to individuals under 21 years of age. Exceptions are provided for qualified individuals, such as active duty military and full-time law enforcement officers. The bill also updates definitions for qualified individuals and ammunition feeding devices. Additionally, it requires the FBI Director to submit a report regarding the operation of the FBI's public access line.
