What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Cameras in the Courtroom Act," aims to allow the televising of Supreme Court proceedings. It would amend title 28 of the United States Code to require the Court to permit television coverage of all open sessions. However, the Supreme Court can prevent coverage if a majority of justices vote that it would violate the due process rights of the parties involved.
