What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Improving Menopause Care for Veterans Act of 2025," directs the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a specific study. The study focuses on medical services provided by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for veterans dealing with menopause stages, perimenopause, and genitourinary syndrome of menopause. The Comptroller General is required to produce a publicly available report within 18 months of the Act's enactment. This report must cover several elements, including a review of guidelines, training, and access to care. Finally, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs must submit a strategic plan to improve care and access based on the report's recommendations.
