What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "No IRIS Act of 2025," aims to restrict the Environmental Protection Agency. It prohibits the EPA Administrator from using assessments generated by the Integrated Risk Information System program. These restrictions apply to the development, finalization, or issuance of rules and regulations. Additionally, the assessments cannot be used for regulatory, enforcement, or permitting actions. Finally, the bill prevents the use of these assessments to inform air toxics assessments or other mapping and screening tools.
