What this bill would do

This bill, titled the "Restoring Military Focus Act," seeks to remove the position of the Chief Diversity Officer from the Department of Defense. It accomplishes this by repealing section 147 of title 10, United States Code. Additionally, it repeals section 913 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021. The legislation also prohibits the use of Federal funds to create any position that is the same as or substantially similar to the Chief Diversity Officer or the Senior Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion.
