S.Amdt. 5646

SA 5646 is an amendment proposed by Mr. Durbin and several other senators to be added to amendment SA 5453 for bill S. 2.

The amendment aims to change and add the following:

• It provides $10,000,000 for the timely processing of employment authorization documents and renewal applications for deferred action under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, as long as that regulation remains in effect.

• It adds Section 204, which prohibits the use of funds from this title to remove, deport, detain, or arrest any individual reasonably believed to be a recipient of deferred action under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, unless the individual no longer meets program requirements, while the regulation remains in effect.
