What this amendment would do
SA 5169, submitted by Mr. KAINE, aims to add a new section to title IV of S. Con. Res. 33.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a point of order in the Senate against any legislation, motion, amendment, or report that provides funding to implement Executive Order 14171, which relates to restoring accountability to policy-influencing positions within the Federal workforce.
To waive or suspend this point of order, or to sustain an appeal of the Chair's ruling, an affirmative vote of three-fifths of the Members of the Senate is required.
