What this amendment would do

SA 4222, submitted by Mr. PADILLA, aims to change the funding amounts and allocations on page 162, lines 10 through 13 of bill H.R. 6938.

The amendment proposes the following changes:

  • Increase the total amount from $1,465,630,000 to $1,768,036,000.

  • Specify how the funds are distributed:

    • $23,899,000 for transfer to the Upper Colorado River Basin Fund.
    • $140,406,000 for the WaterSMART program.
    • $134,000,000 for section 4007 of the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act.
    • $28,000,000 for Bureau of Reclamation environmental restoration and compliance activities.
