What this amendment would do

SA 4188, submitted by Mr. Schiff and Mr. Bennet, is an amendment to bill H.R. 6938.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a prohibition on the use of funds for specific activities in Venezuela.

It aims to ensure that no funds from this or any other Act are used for United States military personnel to do the following at facilities in Venezuela involved in the transportation, processing, or extraction of petroleum products or oil:

Seize the facilities.
Control access to the facilities.
Operate the facilities.
Provide security at the facilities.
