S.Amdt. 4155

SA 4155, submitted by Mr. Padilla and Mr. Booker, aims to add a section to bill H.R. 6938 that prohibits the use of funds to issue leases or authorizations for oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production in specific areas of the Outer Continental Shelf.

The amendment targets the following planning areas as depicted in the 2024-2029 National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Proposed Final Program:

• The Washington/Oregon Planning Area
• The Northern California Planning Area
• The Central California Planning Area
• The Southern California Planning Area
• The North Atlantic Planing Area
• The Mid-Atlantic Planning Area
• The South Atlantic Planning Area
• The Straits of Florida Planning Area
