S.Amdt. 3419

SA 3419, submitted by Mr. Husted, aims to change the definition of a production facility within Section 11 v. of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954.

The amendment proposes to add an exclusion to this definition. Specifically, it adds that a production facility does not include:

• Separating isotopes of uranium or enriching uranium in the isotope 235.
• Reprocessing spent nuclear fuel in a way that does not separate plutonium from other transuranic elements.
