What this amendment would do

SA 3238, submitted by Mr. PADILLA, is an amendment to bill S. 2296. This bill deals with authorizations for military activities of the Department of Defense, military construction, and defense activities of the Department of Energy for fiscal year 2026.

The purpose of this amendment is to increase the amount authorized for research, development, test, and evaluation by $10,000,000.

This increase in funding is specifically for:

  • The Defense Innovation Unit (PE 0603342D8Z) for Hacking for Defense.
