What this amendment would do

SA 2904, submitted by Mr. Schatz, aims to change the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017.

The purpose of this amendment is to expand exceptions regarding the restriction on developing public infrastructure related to the realignment of Marine Corps forces in the Asia-Pacific region.

Specifically, it adds the following to the existing law:

Operations and maintenance relating to the curation of archeological and cultural artifacts.
