What this amendment would do

SA 2832, submitted by Mr. Padilla, aims to remove Social Security number requirements from several parts of H.R. 1.

The amendment proposes the following changes:

  • Deduction for Seniors: Striking clause (iv) of Section 151(d)(5)(C) and subparagraph (W) of Section 6213(g)(2).

  • No Tax on Tips: Striking subsection (e) of Section 224 and subparagraph (Y) of Section 6213(g)(2).

  • No Tax on Overtime: Striking subsection (d) of Section 225 and subparagraph (Z) of Section 6213(g)(2).

  • Trump Accounts: Striking subparagraph (A) of Section 530A(b)(1), striking subsection (d) of Section 6434, and striking subparagraph (AA) of Section 6213(g)(2).

  • Education Credits: Repealing the amendments made by section 70612 regarding the American Opportunity and Lifetime Learning Credits.
