What this amendment would do

Mr. Markey, joined by Mr. Schatz, submitted amendment SA 2718.
The purpose of the amendment is to create an exemption for small business concerns from certain duties.
It aims to add a section stating that duties imposed under Executive Order 14257 will not apply to articles imported by or for the use of small business concerns, as defined in section 3 of the Small Business Act.
This exemption applies to articles entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after the date that is 15 days after the date of the enactment of the Act.
