What this amendment would do

Mr. Padilla submitted SA 1813, which is an amendment proposed to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the 2025 congressional budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to election security grants.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This can be done for legislation related to election security grants, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
