What this amendment would do
As folks who want to keep an eye on our government and make sure our elected officials are doing right by us, we need to know what is going on behind closed doors. This amendment, submitted by Mr. Padilla, simply asks for a straightforward report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) so we can see the real facts.
Here is what the amendment aims to add to the bill:
-
Requires the Director of the Congressional Budget Office to submit a report to Congress not later than 90 days after the concurrent resolution is agreed to.
-
The report must cover the impacts and future impacts of the U.S. DOGE Service Temporary Organization's activities on the U.S. economy, the Federal budget, Federal spending, government operations, and constituent services across agencies.
-
The report must also include fact checks of the web page on the U.S. DOGE Service Temporary Organization's website titled the wall of receipts.
