What this bill would do
The Veterans Outdoor Rehabilitation Act requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to create a grant program for certain State entities. These grants are intended to expand access to structured outdoor recreation programs that improve veteran wellness. State entities can use the funds to develop programs, partner with local providers, or reduce financial barriers for participants. The bill also encourages collaboration with Federal land management agencies to expand access to outdoor spaces. Approved State entities will receive at least $200,000 per fiscal year, subject to the availability of appropriations.
