What this bill would do

This bill, known as the "Unemployment Insurance (UI) Integrity and Deficit Reduction Act," aims to provide more money for specific grants. It directs the transfer of the unobligated balance from a fund established by section 9006(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. This money will be moved into the Employment Security Administration Account of the Unemployment Trust Fund. The transferred funds are intended for reemployment services and eligibility assessments. These funds will remain available until they are fully spent.
