What this bill would do
The Holocaust Education and Antisemitism Lessons Act requires a comprehensive study of Holocaust education within the United States. The Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum will lead this study, examining States, local educational agencies, and public schools. The investigation aims to determine if Holocaust education is required or optional and to look at how standards are implemented. It will also examine teacher training, the use of instructional materials, and various teaching methods. Finally, the Director must submit a report of these findings to Congress within a specified timeframe.
