Potential Positive Impacts for People
-
Section 2(a)(1) and Section 2(b) could benefit consumers by removing the broad Product of U.S.A. label and replacing it with clearer options. This allows people to know more specific details about how and where their beef was processed, raised, or born.
-
Section 2(b)(2) creates a specific Raised and Processed in U.S.A. label, which benefits buyers who want to know that the live animal was raised in the United States for at least 100 days before being processed.
-
Section 2(b)(3) establishes the Born, Raised, and Processed in U.S.A. label, giving individuals a clear choice to purchase beef from animals that spent their entire lives and were processed within the United States.
Potential Negative Impacts for People
- The provided text does not explicitly mention any potential negative impacts, consequences, or burdens for individuals or groups of people in the United States.
