What this bill would do
This bill is known as the ``No Coffee Tax Act''. It stops the government from adding extra taxes, or tariffs, on coffee coming from countries with normal trade relations with the United States. The tax rate on coffee cannot go higher than what was charged on January 19, 2025. This rule covers roasted or unroasted coffee, decaffeinated coffee, coffee husks and skins, and coffee substitutes. It applies even during emergency situations when tariffs might normally be raised.
