What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "RIDE Act," seeks to create a new P-4 nonimmigrant visa category specifically for mobile entertainment workers. It targets individuals performing essential tasks for mobile entertainment providers, such as carnivals or circuses that travel seasonally. These workers would be involved in tasks like transporting, assembling, and maintaining attractions, rides, and food concessions. To qualify, the Department of Labor must certify that there are not enough qualified domestic workers available. The bill also includes provisions for the spouses and children of these workers.
