What this bill would do
This bill establishes the Immersive Technology Advisory Panel to promote the use of immersive technology within the United States. It directs the Secretary of Commerce to designate a principal advisor to support the improvement, deployment, and security of this technology. The bill creates an Advisory Panel consisting of various cabinet secretaries and experts to make specific recommendations. This panel is tasked with assessing economic impacts and creating safeguards for data and privacy. Additionally, the panel must conduct a study on the industry's effect on national security and economic competitiveness.
