A House resolution is the House speaking for itself: stating a position, honouring someone, or setting its own rules. Adopting it is the whole process. Once the House agrees to it, it is officially the House's word; it is not a law, so the Senate and the President have no part in it.

What this bill would do

This resolution congratulates Korson's Tree Farms in Montcalm County, Sidney Township, for being chosen to provide the 2025 White House Christmas tree. The farm was named the Grand Champion of the National Christmas Tree Association Christmas Tree Contest. This selection makes them the first Michigan grower to supply the official White House Christmas tree in 41 years. The resolution recognizes the economic and agricultural importance of the Christmas tree industry to Michigan and the United States. Finally, it invites the farm to the U.S. Capitol Building to be honored and directs the Clerk to provide copies of the resolution to the President and First Lady.
