What this bill would do
This bill, titled "The Housing Voucher Funding Reallocation Act," aims to amend the United States Housing Act of 1937. It directs the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to reallocate funds used for tenant-based assistance. At the end of each fiscal year, the Secretary must recapture funds that public housing agencies did not obligate. These recaptured amounts are then provided to public housing agencies that have used all of their provided funds for tenant-based assistance.

Potential Negative Impacts for People
- Loss of unobligated funds: Public housing agencies that do not obligate their tenant-based assistance funds during a fiscal year will have those amounts recaptured by the Secretary. (Section 2, subparagraph A)
