This bill, known as the "Lower Grocery Prices Act," directs the Comptroller General of the United States to perform a study on grocery costs. The study focuses on changes in the Consumer Price Index for food at home over the last 20 years. It also includes other economic metrics to assess the impact of these costs on consumers. The Comptroller General is required to submit a report to specific congressional committees within 180 days of enactment.
