What this bill would do
This bill authorizes a pilot program under section 258 of the National Housing Act. The program aims to establish an automated process for providing additional credit rating information for mortgagors and prospective mortgagors. The Secretary will select commercially available credit scoring models that use additional data to evaluate their benefits. Prospective mortgagors will have the ability to opt into using these new scoring models. The program includes requirements for notifying borrowers of their options and comparing lending options.
