What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "CDFI Fund Transparency Act," seeks to amend the Riegle Community Development and Regulatory Improvement Act of 1994. It would require the Secretary of the Treasury or a designee to provide annual testimony to Congress. This testimony must focus on the operations of the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund from the previous year. The requirement to testify is triggered at the discretion of the Chair of the House Committee on Financial Services and the Chair of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
