What this bill would do
This bill authorizes the creation of memorials for Wisconsin infantry officers and enlisted men. Specifically, it calls for memorials at Antietam National Battlefield for the Second, Third, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Wisconsin Infantry Regiments. It also calls for a memorial at Manassas National Battlefield Park for the Second, Sixth, and Seventh Wisconsin Infantry Regiments. The Secretary of the Interior will approve locations, designs, and inscriptions. While the Secretary selects the entities to establish these memorials, no Federal funds may be used for their design, acquisition, site preparation, or installation.
