What this bill would do

This bill, known as the "All American Metal Act," aims to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. It proposes to expand the advanced manufacturing production credit to include recycled copper. To qualify, the copper must be produced from recycled materials and purified to a minimum purity of 99.9 percent copper by mass. These changes would apply to components produced and sold in taxable years beginning after December 31, 2024.
