What this bill would do
The Gang Activity Reporting Act of 2025 requires the Attorney General to submit an annual report to specific Congressional committees regarding gang activity, investigation, and prosecution. This report must include data on the growth of local, national, and transnational gangs over a ten-year period. It also requires details on the tools and methods used by gangs, as well as the initiatives undertaken by federal agencies to track and investigate them. Additionally, the report must include enforcement statistics such as arrests, firearm seizures, and drug seizures. The Attorney General, Secretary of Homeland Security, and Director of the FBI can classify portions of the report.
