What this bill would do
The American Products in Parks Act requires that all products sold in National Park System gift shops and visitor centers be produced in the United States. This mandate includes requirements for final assembly, processing, and the sourcing of components. The law dictates that significant processing and virtually all ingredients must occur within the country. The Secretary of the Interior is tasked with creating enforcement procedures to ensure compliance. These changes are set to take effect one year after the Act is enacted.
