What this bill would do
This bill is called the Wildlife Road Crossings Program Reauthorization Act of 2025. It changes the existing wildlife crossings pilot program by removing the word pilot and updating the name to a regular program. The bill authorizes $200,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2031 to fund the program. It also sets the Federal cost share for Indian Tribes to 100 percent for their projects. Additionally, the bill provides technical assistance to help Tribes access funding and allows the Secretary to retain a small percentage of funds for grant administration.
