What this bill would do
This bill is known as the White House NOT FOR SALE Act. It stops the display of names for any individual, corporation, or entity at the White House or its grounds unless specific approval is given. Under Section 2, this type of display needs the express approval of the Speaker and the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, as well as the Curator of the White House. This decision must also be made in consultation with the Committee for the Preservation of the White House. Additionally, the Commemorative Works Act will apply if the display meets the criteria for a commemorative work.
